Accredited by the CIWM, this course identifies the legal obligations of all those handling waste; ensuring they are trained to manage waste properly, safely and within the law.   Delegates will also learn practical solutions for waste management, giving them the potential to make an immediate impact on waste management practices within their organisation and produce long-term cost savings.

On completion of the course delegates will be able to:

·         Understand waste and types of waste

·         Identify how and where waste is produced in the workplace

·         Understand waste legislation

·         Ensure waste handling requirements are fulfilled in practice

·         Initiate a company waste minimisation programme.

Who should attend:

Essential - Shop floor workers, managers – particularly facilities managers or those responsible for waste, office staff, cleaners, contractors etc.
Desirable - Anybody who disposes of or deals with waste will benefit from this course and it is applicable to almost every type of organisation.

Delegates completing the course and passing the multiple choice examination will receive a Chartered Institute of Waste Management registered certificate.
